On January 5th, the reception of the Three Kings took place at the cloister of the Santander Catedral, with a deployment of attendance control measures to ensure health and safety protocols against COVID.

The Santander Town Hall  organized a static parade with a total of 5,100 tickets, allowing children to greet their Majesties in 10-minute sessions, with a maximum of three children per adult.

When registering for the event invitations, citizens provided the names, surnames, ID numbers, and a phone number to ensure traceability in case of any positive COVID cases and facilitate contact tracing if needed.

Attendance control was carried out through devices supplied by Zitycard as part of the Smartcitizen project developed by Telefónica. These devices are compatible with contactless technology or optimal technology, connected directly to the terminal or Bluetooth reading guns.

The system’s operation is very efficient for events with large crowds, as users simply need to show their QR code or bring their citizen card near the terminal to gain access.

This system offers a quick and simple way to ensure health measures by controlling attendance at the event.
