The NFCity Taxi solution developed by Zitycard and integrated with the citizen card improves services for people with reduced mobility.

In 2022, the yellow bus (PMRs) was used 51.220 times, costing the Zaragoza City Council €1,734,759. The cost per person and trip was nearly €34.

Thanks to the NFCity Taxi bonus system, taxi drivers can check personalized bonuses for each user with a citizen card and charge the same fare as if they were traveling on the bus with their citizen card. Last year, adapted taxis provided 113,523 services for people with reduced mobility, adapted taxis provided 113,523 services for people with reduced mobilitycosting the City Council €1,048,561, meaning each trip cost the council €9.23, more than €24 less than the yellow bus. The cost for taxi users is the same as using the bus, with bonus limits of €12 for urban trips and €24 for rural neighborhoods.

Users must be assessed through DFA and approved by the Zaragoza City Council. The taxi cooperative manages the fleet of adapted vehicles, improving the quality of service. This system allows point-to-point transport without the need for waiting or prior planning by calling the Radio Taxi phone number. To make payments, taxi drivers use an NFC application that can check the discounts assigned to each user and charge the difference using the citizen card balance. In 2022, improvements were made to the app, allowing better tracking of user journeys, continually enhancing the service to meet user demand and improve the experience for taxi drivers.
