The new card issuance system for electronic container opening, developed by Zitycard, enhances the separate collection of organic waste.
Through the electronic card or the mobile app provided by the Mancomunidad, linked to each address, the "residual" and organic waste containers will be opened, allowing for the recording of data on their use.
In June 2018, this system began a pilot test in Nuevo Artica and Azpilagaña. By early autumn, it started to extend throughout the region, with further implementation in 2022 and 2023.
Mancomunidad staff will distribute cards to each household so that citizens can begin recycling using these specific containers. Additionally, these cards can be used anonymously on the Comarcal Urban Transport system, which can be recharged at any point and via the “Recarga TUC” app.
Customized TUC cards can be used for the electronic opening system of containers. To activate this function, users must request activation through the electronic headquarters of the Mancomunidad de Pamplona.
